Job Description

  • Responsible for performing engineering analysis, including decline curve analysis and well log analysis, of petroleum engineering projects
  • Estimate reserves and forecast production on conventional and unconventional oil and gas wells
  • Prepare engineering packages and teasers for matured oil and gas well divestment
  • Analyze prospective assets for strategic acquisition in South Texas and Onshore Gulf
  • Analyze prospective assets for working or revenue interest owner buy-backs
  • Carry out reconnaissance, risk, and sensitivity analysis to support the development of projects as part of a multidisciplinary asset team
  • Appraise and review all corporate mineral and pipeline property tax yearly
  • Evaluate and submit protests, settle and if required, appeal appraised values with Texas counties and appraisal companies
  • Evaluate corporate working interest in non-operated wells
  • Utilize PHDWin, KAPPA Suite, Techlog, Petrel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel VBA, Python, MATLAB, Minitab, Machine Learning, Big Data Analytics, and Multivariate Statistics to perform duties
  • Provide support for and coordination with the Acquisition and Divestiture teams to complete projects
  • Wages

    $106,579 per year.

    Mininmum Requirements

  • Bachelors – Petroleum Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Energy Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree)
  • Two (2) years in the position above, as an Environmental Researcher, as a Computer Laboratory Assistant, or in a related occupation
  • Must have two (2) years experience with all of the following: PHDWin, KAPPA Suite, Techlog, Petrel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel VBA, Python, MATLAB, Minitab, Machine Learning, Big Data Analytics and Multivariate Statistics
  • Will also accept any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience at the end of the posting
